Verify any clinician yourselfEvery provider who reviews KERNX patients is licensed and can be looked up through the medical or nursing board in the state where they practice. We publish names and credentials so you can check before you begin.

You are matched with a clinician licensed in your state, and you will know their name before treatment begins. Availability and assignment may vary by location, licensure, clinical needs, and scheduling. Treatment decisions are made by licensed clinicians following an individual medical evaluation.

How it works

Frequently Asked Questions.

Have more questions? Our care team is available 7 days a week and answers messages within one business day.

Am I eligible for GLP-1 medication? +
Most adults with a BMI of 27 or higher, or those with weight related health conditions, may qualify. Our free assessment takes 5 minutes and a licensed provider will review your eligibility, typically within 24 hours.
How quickly will I receive my medication? +
After provider approval, pharmacy processing typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Shipping transit generally takes another 2 to 3 business days, so most first orders arrive within 3 to 5 business days after approval. Timing may vary by pharmacy workload, location, holidays, and carrier conditions.
What does it cost? +
The online health assessment is free. A provider consultation fee applies when treatment is approved: $25 for a message based review, $35 for a standard live visit, or $60 for a complex live visit. KERNX does not collect payment for treatment before provider approval. Your bank or card issuer may display a temporary authorization hold during sign up, but this is not a completed KERNX charge. If treatment is approved, the applicable consultation fee, medication, and any selected add ons are processed after approval and your acceptance of the treatment plan. All applicable costs are shown before you commit. Cancel anytime.
Is this covered by insurance? +
KERNX Health currently operates as a cash pay platform. Most insurance plans do not cover compounded GLP-1 medications for weight loss. Our cash pay medication pricing starts at $129 per month for Semaglutide and $229 per month for Tirzepatide. Pricing varies by prescribed dosage, and full pricing details are available on our Pricing page.
What ongoing support will I receive? +
Every KERNX member has access to a dedicated care team, including their prescribing provider. Message them anytime, with monthly check ins to track your progress and adjust your plan.
Are compounded medications legal? +
Yes. When treatment is approved and a prescription is issued, prescriptions coordinated through KERNX Health are fulfilled through the licensed dispensing pharmacy identified in your treatment and fulfillment information. Compounded medications are not FDA approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
How do pharmacy prepared GLP-1 medications work? +
GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide and tirzepatide have been extensively studied in clinical trials for weight management. Pharmacy prepared medications are made by licensed compounding pharmacies for individual patients based on a valid prescription from a licensed physician. This approach allows providers to offer clinically studied medications at a significantly lower cost than retail alternatives, making treatment more accessible.
Is compounding regulated and safe? +
The dispensing pharmacy is licensed and is subject to the federal and state requirements applicable to it. A valid prescription from a licensed provider is required for treatment through KERNX Health. Compounded medications are not FDA approved and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality before marketing.
Do I need a prescription? +
Yes. All medications prescribed through KERNX Health require a valid prescription from a licensed independent physician. No medication is dispensed without individual physician review and approval. This is a core part of our commitment to safe, medically supervised care.
Why is KERNX so much more affordable than brand name options? +
Brand name GLP-1 medications carry the cost of pharmaceutical manufacturing and significant marketing budgets, with list prices above $1,000 a month. Many lower cost programs sell medication alone, leaving patients to arrange their own prescriber, labs, and monitoring. KERNX operates as a lean telehealth platform with no physical clinics, and includes licensed physician care with your medication in one transparent program. Our mission is goal oriented care: we start with what you want to achieve, then build a plan around it, so quality weight loss care is accessible to more people rather than only those who can afford brand name retail.
