Billing and renewal. There is no long term contract and no required multi month prepayment. Cancel anytime before your next renewal date from your account or by emailing support@kernxhealth.com. KERNX does not collect payment for treatment until a licensed provider approves treatment. Your bank or card issuer may display a temporary authorization hold during sign up, but this is not a completed KERNX charge. After approval, your monthly plan charge and the consultation fee for your approved treatment are processed. The consultation fee is $25 for a message based review, $35 for a standard live visit, or $60 for a complex live visit.

Medications require a valid prescription from a licensed provider. Not all patients qualify. Individual results vary. Compounded medications are fulfilled through the licensed dispensing pharmacy identified in your treatment and fulfillment information. Statements regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

02Why It Costs Less

Why is it less than the brand?A fair question. Here is the answer.

Low prices in this category can be a warning sign, and you are right to ask. There are three specific reasons KERNX costs what it does, and none of them involve cutting corners on the medication or the clinician.

01

It is not the brand product

Compounded medication is prepared by a licensed pharmacy rather than manufactured and sold under a brand name. There is no brand pricing attached to it. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are not the same as the approved brand products.

02

There is no insurance in the middle

KERNX is cash pay. Nothing is routed through insurers, pharmacy benefit managers, rebates or claims processing. You pay one published price, and none of it funds the administrative layer that sits between most patients and their medication.

03

We do not charge a membership fee

Some platforms advertise a low medication price and add a separate monthly program or membership charge. KERNX does not. The plan price is the plan price, and the only additional cost is the provider consultation fee, disclosed before you are charged.

And $129 is a starting dose price

Semaglutide begins at $129 per month at the lowest dose. If your provider increases your dose over time, the price increases with it, up to $199 per month at the highest dose. Tirzepatide runs from $229 to $329 the same way. The full ladder is published above, so you can see exactly what your dose costs before you start rather than finding out later.

If a price looks too low to be real, ask who fills the prescription, whether the platform is independently certified, and what the total cost is at your prescribed dose. Those are the right questions to ask us and everyone else.

05Why Patients Choose KERNX

What to compare before you choose

Weight loss platforms advertise a monthly number. What that number covers varies a great deal. Here is what to ask any provider you are considering, including us.

01

Is there a membership fee on top?

Some platforms charge a monthly program or membership fee and bill medication separately, so the advertised price is only part of what you pay. KERNX does not charge a membership fee. Your plan price covers the medication, shipping, and ongoing support.

02

Do you have to prepay for months to get the lowest rate?

Lowest advertised prices often require committing to several months up front. KERNX has no multi month prepayment and no long term contract. You may cancel before your next renewal date.

03

Can you see who is reviewing your case?

Many platforms say only that a licensed provider will review you. The clinicians who review KERNX patients are named on this site, so you can look up any of them before you begin.

04

Has the platform been independently certified?

KERNX Health is LegitScript certified, an independent review of how a healthcare platform operates. The certification seal is in the footer of every page and links to the public verification record.

05

What happens during the first month?

The first few weeks are when most questions come up and when side effects are most likely. KERNX is built to stay small enough that your care team follows you through dose changes rather than handing you to whoever is next in the queue.

06

When KERNX is not the right fit

If you want an FDA-approved brand name medication, or you want to use insurance benefits, KERNX is not the right choice and we will tell you so. We offer compounded medications on a cash pay basis. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Your provider will tell you if treatment is not appropriate for you.

A provider consultation fee applies when treatment is approved and is disclosed before any charge is processed: $25 for a message based review, $35 for a standard live visit, or $60 for a complex live visit. Medication pricing may vary based on the treatment and dosage prescribed. Your complete recurring charge is shown before you accept the treatment plan.

06Common Questions

Pricing questions, answered

Is insurance required?

No. KERNX operates outside the insurance system, which is part of how pricing stays transparent and predictable. You pay the published cash pay rate for your prescribed medication and dose, with no insurance claims to file.

Are there hidden fees?

Your monthly plan price covers medication, shipping, and ongoing support. A separate provider consultation fee applies per visit: $25 for a message based review, $35 for a standard live visit, or $60 for a complex live visit. If treatment is approved, the applicable consultation fee is processed with your approved treatment charges.

Why is this more affordable than brand name options?

Compounded medications prepared by a licensed pharmacy, combined with a direct to patient model that removes layers of overhead, allow KERNX to offer care at a fraction of the cost of traditional clinics.

Can my plan change over time?

Yes. Your physician may adjust your treatment as your body responds. If your prescribed dose changes, the applicable published monthly medication price may change. Your care team will explain the change before your next treatment charge.
