Protein at every meal
Protein gives your body what it needs to hold on to muscle while portions are smaller. Eat it first, while your appetite is highest.

The scale is only part of the story. Protein, regular movement and ongoing check-ins with your care team help you protect the strength you rely on every day.
When you eat less, your body draws on its stores, and some of what it uses can come from muscle rather than fat. Muscle is what helps you climb stairs, carry groceries, keep your balance and stay independent.
Muscle also naturally declines with age, which makes this even more important after 50. The good news is that a few steady habits make a real difference, and none of them require a gym.
Simple, sustainable, and built into how KERNX supports you.

Browse the KERNX Kitchen →Two or three short strength sessions a week, plus regular walking. Consistency matters far more than intensity.
Join the free Walk Club →Your health coach checks in monthly, your provider reviews how you are doing, and lab testing is included in month 2 when recommended.
How labs work →No equipment needed. Move at a comfortable pace, stop if anything hurts, and rest whenever you need to.
From a sturdy chair, stand up and sit back down slowly, using your legs.
Hands flat on a wall, bend your elbows to lean in, then press back out.
Lie on your back with knees bent and lift your hips, then lower slowly.
Stand tall, rise onto the balls of your feet, then lower with control.
Hold a counter and lift each knee in turn at an easy pace.
A short walk after meals is one of the simplest habits to keep.
An easy starting point, not a rule. Adjust to your energy and schedule.
On strength days, pick three or four moves and do one or two easy sets of eight to twelve. On low energy days, scale back or rest. Gentle consistency over weeks beats pushing too hard.
KERNX also offers longevity options such as B12-MIC, NAD+ and Sermorelin. They are not a substitute for protein and movement, and they are not right for everyone. A licensed provider can explain the evidence and risks and decide whether any of them fit your plan.
